Registration

Registration Fee

The registration fee is non-refundable once paid, except where required by applicable law. The registration fee covers administrative processing, placement coordination, and programme preparation.*

Programme Fees

The remaining programme fee must be paid by the stated deadline before arrival. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the placement.*

Placement Arrangements

Electives Asia will make every reasonable effort to arrange placements based on the student's preferred discipline.

However, placement location, specialty, schedule, and clinical exposure depend on:

• Clinical supervisors

• Health facility availability

• Patient volume

• Public holidays

• Operational requirements

No specific department or procedure can be guaranteed.*

Scope of Clinical Activities

Students acknowledge that:

• Clinical participation varies according to their level of education, competence, local regulations, and host institution policies.

• Some placements are observation-based, while others may include supervised participation where appropriate.

• Students must always follow the instructions of supervising healthcare professionals.

Professional Conduct

Students are expected to:

• Maintain professionalism at all times.

• Respect patient confidentiality.

• Follow hospital dress codes.

• Observe infection prevention protocols.

• Respect local customs and cultural practices.

• Comply with all host institution policies.

Failure to maintain professional conduct may result in removal from the programme without refund.*

Health & Insurance - (optional)

Students are responsible for obtaining adequate travel and health insurance covering:

• Medical treatment

• Emergency evacuation

• Personal liability

• Trip interruption

• Lost belongings

Electives Asia is not responsible for uninsured expenses.*

Travel Requirements

Students are responsible for ensuring they meet all passport, visa (if applicable), immigration, vaccination (optional), and entry requirements for the Philippines.*

Accommodation

Where accommodation is included, students agree to:

• Respect house rules.

• Keep common areas clean.

• Respect other residents.

• Be responsible for any damage caused during their stay.

Students may be charged for damages beyond normal wear and tear.*

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Programme fees may be refunded according to the applicable cancellation policy communicated at the time of booking. The registration fee is generally non-refundable.*

Limitation of Liability

Electives Asia acts as a placement coordinator and programme facilitator. Electives Asia shall not be liable for losses, injuries, delays, cancellations, changes to hospital schedules, natural disasters, pandemics, civil disturbances, airline disruptions, or other events beyond its reasonable control.*

Photography & Media

Students consent to the use of photographs or videos taken during programme activities for promotional and educational purposes unless they notify Electives Asia in writing before the programme begins.*

Data Privacy

Electives Asia collects and processes personal information solely for the purposes of programme administration, placement coordination, accommodation arrangements, emergency management, and communication. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws and will only be shared with relevant partner institutions where necessary for programme delivery.*
